Fred Hollows time line

• 1929 - Fred Hollows born in New Zealand
• 1960's - He got job in Australia
• 1965 -  Head of the Eye Department at a Sydney hospital
• 1970's - Helped launch national program to attack eye disease in Aboriginal Australians
• 1980's - Fred traveled all over world to help set up eye health programs in developing countries
• 1989 - Fred was dying from cancer
• 1993 - Fred died at his house surrounded by his friends, wife Gabi and five children
